Sunday Steele

Ed.D., Managing Director, Curriculum Services

Dr. Sunday Steele is a passionate, mission-driven educator who has dedicated the past twenty-three years advocating for students and dismantling educational barriers.

As Managing Director for the Curriculum Services Team, Sunday supports the team with deploying Pivot and CORE’s Adoption and Implementation Services for high-quality instructional materials in districts across the country. She also leads the development of products and services for the team.

Before joining Pivot, Sunday spent six years with The College Board as their Senior Director of Pre-AP Programs where she supported district and school leaders implementing Pre-AP and SpringBoard Programs. In addition, she led the development of products and services on the Implementation Team and managed district accounts in Western and Southern regions of the U.S.

Sunday spent sixteen years in Long Beach Unified School District as a high school English Teacher, Literacy Coach, and school administrator. Sunday received her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from UCLA, her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Cal State Dominguez Hills, and her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from USC. Sunday lives the Los Angeles area.
