Kate Snyder is an Educational Services Specialist at CORE Learning. As an educator, coach, and leader, Kate’s passion lies in foundational literacy. She firmly believes that equitable access to evidence-based early reading instruction, rooted in the science of reading, is pivotal to addressing issues of equity. Kate’s dedication revolves around ensuring that every young learner receives the caliber of instruction essential for their journey toward literacy and prosperous participation in society.

With a teaching background spanning over twenty years in public schools in Oakland and Danville, CA, Kate has a deep understanding of implementing and adapting research-driven curricula. Beyond the classroom, Kate has extended her influence as a coach, mentor, and trainer, guiding fellow educators in strategies for nurturing academic growth and fostering positive classroom dynamics. During her tenure as the Dean of Early Literacy at a Title 1 school in Oakland, Kate effectively supported teacher development and established systems aimed at enhancing the implementation of research-grounded
foundational skills curricula, including the SIPPS program.

Kate’s academic journey includes a degree in Human Development and Education from the University of California at Davis. Currently, she is pursuing a master’s degree in Instructional Design and Technology from California State University, San Francisco. As a perennial learner, Kate remains attuned to the latest advancements in educational research and best practices.
