Jessica Qian

M.A., Educational Consultant — Literacy, K-6

Jessica Qian is an Educational Services Consultant with CORE Learning. She has 15 years of experience in both Minnesota and California as an elementary teacher, mentor, coach and assistant principal. Jessica has a BA in teaching English Learners and a BS in Elementary Education. She received her master’s in education leadership and an administrative credential from the University of California Berkeley.

Jessica has seen the positive impacts of strong reading instruction for all students firsthand as a TK-2nd grade Assistant Principal. She has dedicated her career to building classrooms and schools where students are empowered as learners and where strong instructional practices give students access to the learning opportunities they deserve. Jessica truly believes that all students can learn and achieve high levels of academic and social success. Centered in equity, Jessica believes that access to high quality, science-based reading instruction is imperative for all students and has coached and supported teachers in making shifts that benefit all students. Jessica believes socio-emotional learning and strong academic instruction go hand-in-hand and is well versed in helping teachers and schools set up structures, routines, assessments, and practices that support teachers and students.
