Helps literacy coaches and teacher leaders build aligned literacy instruction across schools

The Online Language & Literacy Academy Cohort Leader (OCL) Certification is an eight-week program that prepares literacy leaders to effectively lead OL&LA implementations. Participants gain the skills to guide teams, coach educators in applying Structured Literacy, and ensure consistent, sustainable literacy practices that improve student outcomes across their schools and districts.


OL&LA Cohort Leader Certification
  • Duration: 8 weeks, ~70 total hours

  • Cohort Size: 10–20 participants

  • Live Sessions: 8 virtual sessions, 90 minutes each, led by CORE facilitators

  • Self-Guided Work: Independent planning, reflection, and application

  • Included Resources: Facilitation playbook, planning tools, and PD extension materials

  • Texts Required: Teaching Reading Sourcebook and Assessing Reading: Multiple Measures
