Janelle Payne is an Educational Services Consultant with CORE. Her experiences include teaching kindergarten, second grade, fourth grade before leading her school’s K-4 math department as an assistant school leader for the past four years. During her leadership she led her school to the highest math growth in her region. She has also provided facilitation and created professional developments of unit launches for math leaders across KIPP New Jersey.

Janelle has worked extensively on building teacher’s content knowledge of common core standards. She has a passion for coaching teachers and leaders around equity, differentiation, and data analysis.

Janelle also has a passion for cultivating leaders. She has coached and mentored many teachers and leaders in Newark, New Jersey. Janelle believes that all kids have the potential to have access to math and can use math to be change agents in the world.
