Candy Banda is a Language and Literacy Facilitator with CORE, bringing over 25 years of dedicated public education experience and a deep commitment to equity-based, student-centered literacy instruction. Her career spans elementary, middle, and high school teaching, followed by impactful roles as a K-12 literacy specialist and instructional coach. She went on to serve at the district level as Director of School Leadership, Director of Teaching & Learning, and Literacy Director.

Now, as an educational consultant working with districts nationwide, Candy develops and delivers professional learning that fosters cognitive challenge and purposeful collaboration. Her focus is on implementing quality, intentional, and research-based campus literacy practices. Candy is driven by a constant awe for the beauty of melding pedagogy with literacy, all in service to student success
