School Improvement

Turn around under-performing schools by developing the skills of school leaders and teachers

It’s an educator’s responsibility to raise the academic achievement of students in low-performing schools. Thanks to School Improvement Grants (SIGs), school districts in select states have access to funds that make student learning improvement possible.

CORE can drive change at the school and district level with specific turnaround plans in math and literacy. These rigorous professional learning programs are designed to improve teacher quality and knowledge, transform teaching practices, and accelerate school improvement.

Our approach is research-based and proven effective. It involves workshops and on-site instruction, blending pedagogical knowledge with hands-on, site-based mentoring over time to create lasting change. We also work with school leaders and administrators to help them build the capacity to coach educators and provide feedback on instructional practices after CORE’s commitment ends.
