Approved Oregon Dyslexia-Related Training

Looking for a course to help fulfill Oregon’s requirement that at least one K-5 teacher per building complete dyslexia-related training? CORE’s 6-day in-person Elementary Reading Academy and 7–10 week Online Elementary Reading Academy have just been added to the Oregon Department of Education’s list of approved Dyslexia-Related Training Opportunities.

These courses were approved to address the following two focus areas: Understanding and Recognizing Dyslexia (URD) and Foundational Skills in Reading (FSR).

Both the in-person and Online Elementary Reading Academy provide an introduction to dyslexia and highlight evidence-based practices to systematically and explicitly teach the foundational skills of reading. Course fees include the nationally acclaimed textbooks Teaching Reading Sourcebook and Assessing Reading: Multiple Measures.
