Jennifer Reuland

MS.Ed., Educational Consultant — Literacy, PreK–8

Jennifer Reuland is an Educational Services Consultant with CORE. Jennifer currently serves as the PK-5 Curriculum Coordinator for Reading Intervention and Enrichment for a Title 1 district in a northwestern suburb of Chicago. She supports classroom teachers, reading specialists, enrichment reading teachers, and administrators with the implementation and alignment of evidence-based literacy instruction within a Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports. She has recently created and implemented an assessment pathway to help educators interpret data, identify student needs, and plan targeted instruction with appropriate resources. In addition, she has done extensive curriculum work to support enrichment of the core reading curriculum. For ten years prior, Jennifer was a classroom teacher and K-5 reading specialist working extensively with culturally and linguistically diverse students and struggling readers.

Jennifer is committed to supporting staff in understanding the relationship between English language proficiency and literacy development. Over the course of her career, she has planned and delivered numerous professional development opportunities with the goal of helping staff better understand literacy development and how to implement high-impact routines into the classroom. Jennifer earned a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in 2008 and a Master of Arts degree in Reading Instruction (MARI) in 2013 from Aurora University. She completed her ESL Endorsement in 2016. In addition, she earned a Master of Science in Education with Principal Endorsement (MS.Ed.) from Northern Illinois University in August 2018.
