Jaine Kopp is an Educational Services Consultant with CORE. Ms. Kopp holds a BA in Mathematics and an MA in Mathematics Education as well as a California State Life Credential, Multiple Subject N–12 and a California State Clear Supplemental Credential in Mathematics. She has taught students from early elementary through middle school. Beyond classroom teaching, she has worked for the Mathematics Education Program at the Lawrence Hall of Science at UC Berkeley and served as the Director of the Bay Area Mathematics Project at UC Berkeley.
Her extensive experience includes teaching students, mentoring teachers, and providing professional development at local, state and national levels. Ms. Kopp is the author of many publications through Great Explorations in Math and Science at UC Berkeley and currently serves as on the Editorial Panel of the ComMuniCator, the quarterly publication of the California Mathematics Council.
Ms. Kopp has a passion for teaching mathematics. Both with students in the classroom and teachers, she is able to make mathematics comprehensible and engaging. Ms. Kopp believes all students are capable of learning mathematics. She is also knowledgeable about standards, best practices, and assessment—components critical to a successful mathematics program. She excels in working with schools and districts to meet their goals for mathematics education for their students.
