State-Approved Professional Learning Around the Science of Reading:
CORE’s K-3 Evidence-Based Training in Teaching Reading is approved by the Colorado Department of Education to meet the requirements for professional development under the Colorado READ Act. The course package includes:
- On-Site or Online Elementary Reading Academy that teaches educators the critical components of reading and effective instructional practices, based on the science of reading.
- Language Conventions and Writing Fundamentals Workshop that provides teachers with evidence-based practices to teach language conventions and writing to primary- and upper-grade elementary students, from basic sentence construction to longer compositions.
