Being Literate: Readers and Writers Thinking, Talking, and Creating in Today’s K-6 Classrooms
Date & Time: Thursday, August 16, 2018; 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM Central Time
Location: Radisson Paper Valley Hotel, 333 W. College Avenue, Appleton, WI 54911
Cost: $40, includes program, materials, breakfast and lunch.
This day of professional learning is designed for K-6 administrators, literacy coaches, and teachers.
Best Practices for Our Youngest Readers (K-2)
Date & Time: Tuesday, September 11-12, 2018; 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM Easter Time
Location: Battelle for Kids, 4525 Trueman Blvd., Hilliard, OH 43026
Cost: $15 per person for SOAR Member Districts. $75 per person for non-SOAR Districts. Includes the workshop, materials and lunch.
This workshop is designed to support K-2 teachers, administrators, and literacy leaders who are working to improve reading instruction and motivate students in their development as readers.
