In a new program used by ten elementary schools during the 2006–2007 school year, 83% of participating classrooms saw students’ reading scores improve. Each year an increasing percentage of students in the school district learned to read by the end of third grade.
Yakima School District Middle Schools Make Significant Improvement
From 2002-2005 Yakima School District students at 4 CORE Middle Schools went from underperforming to reaching the state reading standards (WASL). In fact, all four schools made dramatic progress, particularly Lewis and Clark reported a 23% increase in the number of 7th grade students meeting the standard.

Pasadena Unified School District Made Double-Digit Gains
Between 2003 and 2006, the district made double-digit gains in California Standards Test (CST) English-Language Arts (ELA) achievement for every grade from 7th through 10th.
